Re: External wipers for sensors

Use both PME and ZebraTech - moreso the latter. We also have some projects using UV light for biofouling. NSF OOI has been doing this for years: https://www.aquaticsensors.com/product/ ... ng-lights/

Re: Wind sensors

Have gone to all Gill MaxiMet GMX501's across my 7 full-size metocean buoys. The reports are escaping me, but NOAA NDBC did extensive testing with sonic anemometers and these performed best with significant pitch and roll, such as with what a buoy sees. Re: What data loggers are used on buoys?

CR1000x/e, CR6, CR310/350, and recently a couple Sutron XLink500s which have an elegant satellite integration.

Hard to beat robustness of Campbell. 1 or 2 trips to reset a more hobby grade logger/modem and you've spent the money the Campbell would have been the first time around.

Re: Wet pluggable cable sources

Do you NEED wet pluggable? Or just submersible? Blue Trail's Cobalts have been great on lots of recent ROV and underwater observatory builds. Cheaper and more easily sourced than Subconns. They're dry-mate but depth rated.
