I am starting a list of anemometers I have used or that I have seen others use on buoys. I'm mainly thinking of anemometers not full weather stations, although some of these have other sensors in them. Anyone have others that they have used?

Have gone to all Gill MaxiMet GMX501's across my 7 full-size metocean buoys. The reports are escaping me, but NOAA NDBC did extensive testing with sonic anemometers and these performed best with significant pitch and roll, such as with what a buoy sees. You get GPS and SRAD all in one, too. SDI12, serial, WMO compliant gust sampling scheme.
This is what all NDBC SCOOP buoys use, now, too: https://sam.gov/opp/fb5e4e7be37d447bb94 ... ew#general
Buy once - cry once.

Nice! I will have to get a MaxiMet GMX501 the next time I am in the market. Have used ATMOS22's on most of our buoys and have experienced some problems with a few of them just stopping to reporting values completely and only reporting -9999.
